Masked Luchadoras

Although masks a heavily connected to Lucha Libre, not all luchadors or luchadoras wear them.
A lot of times the masks are worn at the beginning of a luchadora's career, but lost before they really become famous.


Alda Moreno wore a mask when she wrestled as Pequeña Azteca for Jd Star in Japan.


La Amapola started out masked, but lost her mask to Dark Angel (Sarah Stock) on April 14th, 2006 in Arena Mexico, Mexico City.

Amazona is a masked Luchadora from Baja California. She is the daughter of Lobo del Norte who also wrestled masked at one time.

The American Angel (Sara Amato) wrestled masked until she lost it to Tsunami on December 16, 2005, at the Arena Femenil, Monterrey, Nuevo Leon.

Angelica is another masked luchadora that holds the LLF Juvenil Championship.

Ariel (Anna Rocha) wrestled as Arianna, before losing her mask to Nikki Roxx at Arena Coliseo in Monterrey, Nuevo León on October 28th, 2004.

La Arpia was a masked luchadora from the old days.

Atenea, the daughter of Iván El Bronco and La Malinche wrestles masked.

The FILL Women's Wrestling Champion La Bandida is masked.

Monterrey female wrestler La Bella was masked.

Pink / Angelina


Up and coming Luchadora Pink (Angelina Zacchara) was born in 1986 in San Antonio, Texas.
She was trained by Manny Fernandez, the Texas Wrestling Academy, Shawn Hernandez and Rudy Boy Gonzalez.
Pink made her pro wrestling debut in 2006, in San Antonio, Texas.
She has wrestled under the names Pink and Angelina, and her nicknames are La Tejana and La Tejanita Pink.
She started out as a masked wrestler, but she lost her mask to Chacala on December 5, 2008 in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon.
her favorite wrestling moves are the DDT, Fujiwara Armbar, Sunset Flip and the Camel Clutch.
She has worked for Lucha Libre Feminil and Lucha Libre Unida in Mexico.

Persephone


Persephone was born on September 10, 1980 in Yorktown, Virginia.
She is a female indy wrestler that wrestled for LLF and AAA from 2003 to 2005.
Persephone was trained by Shannon Moore and Marty Garner, and made her pro wrestling debut in 1999.
Her finishing move is a Double-arm DDT.
She was named PGWA's Most Outstanding Wrestler in 2002.

LuFisto

Another Canadian born wrestler that has had great success in Lucha Libre is Lufisto.
Born Genny Goulet on February 15, 1980 in Sorel, Quebec, Canada, this young lady is as tough as they come.
She was trained by Eric Laroche, Patrick Lewis, Pierre Marchessault, Yves Millette, Ludger Proulx, Serge Proulx, Len Kojak Shelley and Joshi legends Mariko Yoshida and AKINO.
She made her pro wrestling debut on June 23, 1997 in her hometown of Sorel.
In Mexico she has held the LLF Extreme Championship in Lucha Libre Feminil.

Lizzy Valentine


Lizzy Valentine (born Elizabeth Miklosi on August 10, 1983 in New York City) is currently wrestling in Mexico.
She's been a valet for Juventued Guerrera in Europe and Mexico, but now she climbing into the wrestling ring again.
And I have to admit, her ring skills are looking better all the time.
She was trained by Homicide, but Juventued has helped her step up her game a notch.
Lizzy has wrestled under several different names, Valentina, Miss Led, Jordan, VJ Love, J-Love, Jersey Jean, Cheerleader Valentina, Valentina Laree and of course Lizzy Valentine.

Daizee Haze


The high flying Daizee Haze worked for Lucha Libre Femenil in Mexico during 2005.
With her high flying wrestling technique, she must have felt right at home in Lucha Libre.
Daizee is an Indy wrestler and has wrestled for almost every Indy wrestling promotion (such as ROH and SHIMMER) in the US.
