Dark Angel, La Vaquerita and Princesa Sugehit

Here is a picture of Dark Angel, La Vaquerita and Princesa Sugehit from several years ago.
Interestingly, Sarah started out wrestling mask and lost her mask to Princesa Sugehit.
La Vaquerita lost her mask to Zeuxis in 2016.
And Zeuxis also took Princesa Sugehit's mask in 2017.
So now all three of these ladies are unmasked.

More India Sioux

India Sioux (again) about to toss Martha la Sarapera into the ring, or the nearest solid object. I'm voting nearest solid object.

India Sioux, showing what high flying really is, about to crash and burn into La Nazi.
Jimmy Snuka would be proud!

Dark Angel vs Keira - Mexican Luchadoras

Here is Dark Angel (Sarah Stock) with luchadora Keira (Keyra) all kinds of tied up.

You may also know Sarah as "Sarita" from TNA.
Sarah no longer wrestles but is currently signed to the WWE as a developmental trainer.

Keira was trained by Gran Apache and has been wrestling since 2009.
She has held the NWG Divas Championship, the Lucha Libre MX Women's Championship, the CMLL-REINA International Junior Championship, the The Crash Women's Championship, the AULL Women's Championship and the Generación XXI Women's Championship.

Ayako Hamada/Fabi Apache/Angel Williams versus Sexy Star/Estrellita/Cinthia Moreno

Here is part one of a match I ran across on YouTube of Ayako Hamada, Fabi Apache and Angel Williams (Or as you may know her better Angelina Love) wrestling Sexy Star,Estrellita and Cinthia Moreno.

Vicki Williams vs Pantera Surena - Luchadoras

Back in 2009 I did a post about American wrestler Vicki Williams in Mexico wrestling Mexican luchadoras Estela Molina and Pantera Surena.
That post was pretty popular and I recently unearthed some more pics of the battle between Vicki and Pantera Surena.
So here are some more shots of Vicki Williams taking on Pantera Surena.
This match was from May 4th in 1980 and looks like it was pretty brutal, mainly because of Pantera's face being the classic, "Crimson mask" in that last photo with the camel clutch.
I think this match may have been for the UWA World Women's Championship, which Vicki won from Irma González in 1979.
If it is, just 21 days after this match, Irma took the title back.
Maybe Pantera softened her up.

Luchadoras - Lady Jaguar

This is LLF luchadora Lady Jaguar.
She has been in lucha libre now for six years and she wrestled masked until 2014 when she lost her mask in a match with Alicia at Arena Matamoros.
Lady Jaguar was born in Monterrey Nuevo Leon, Mexico and was trained by Dynasty Valdez and Golden Angels,
To even things out a bit, on March 27th, 2015 she took the mask of another LLF luchadora, Sucii Love.
Lady Jaguar is four foot nine and weighs 108.
But don't let her small size fool you.
In 2012 she defeated Lady Maravilla in a tournament for the Copa Juvenil LLF title.

Luchadora Estrellita Has Gotten Ripped!

Mexican Luchadora Estrellita has always been a fan favorite in Lucha Libre.
But a lot of that had to do with her curvy figure.
The voluptuous star always made the most of what God gave her in her outfits.

But now...it looks like the luchadora has been hitting the gym seriously and getting a little ripped.
The Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre(CMLL) wrestler has been sporting some muscle as of late, as you can see from the picture below.

Good for her!

At an age where American wrestling promotions like the WWE would be considering her career almost over...it looks like she is getting her second wind!

Taya Valkyrie-Triple AAA Lucha Libre

Here is Canadian fitness model and fitness competitor turned Luchadora Taya Valkyrie (Kira Forster).
Mexico seems to love Canadian female wrestlers (Sarah Stock/Dark Angel/Sarita and Aurora/Goddess) and Taya is no exception.
What I like about her is that I think she really is the total package.

Taya Valkyrie-Triple AAA Lucha Libre

She's incredibly fit, she's beautiful and she can wrestle.
Lucha Libre fans have every right to go crazy over her.

Currently she is working for Asistencia Asesoría y Administración (AAA) and is part of the Perros del Mal (The Dogs of Evil) stable.

Triple AAA Lucha Libre Luchadora Roster

Over at my Lucha Women blog I did the current roster of the luchadoras working for CMLL, so I thought here I would do one for the female luchadors working for Triple AAA Lucha Libre or Asistencia Asesoría y Administración.

triple aaa lucha libre, mexican female wrestlers, female mexican wrestlers
Faby Apache - AAA Reina de Reinas Champion

Cynthia Moreno
Esther Moreno
Faby Apache - AAA Reina de Reinas Champion (She defeated LuFisto, Mari Apache and Taya Valkyrie in a four-way elimination tournament final match to win title vacated by Sexy Star)
La Jarochita
Jennifer Blake
La Hechicera
Lolita
LuFisto
La Magnífica
Mari Apache - AAA World Mixed Tag Team Champion (along with Halloween)
Sexy Lady
Sexy Star
Taya Valkyrie

You may notice the AAA roster is smaller than CMLL (13 for AAA vs 20 for CMLL) and there are more foreigners on the AAA roster as well.
Part of the reason for the latter is AAA's La Legión Extranjera stable that usually composed of foreign heels.

The Top Ten Luchadoras of June 2010

I haven't done a top ten list here since August of last year, so let's see who the most searched for luchadoras were on this blog last month....

sarah stock - luchadoras - dark angel luchadora1. Sarah Stock
Although she has wrestled under many names, (Dark Angel, Sarah Stock, Sarita (in TNA), Sweet Sarah, Sarah Swayze, Natasha Graves, Sarah Griffin Canadian Dark Angel) this young lady is popular under any of them.
In Mexico she has wrestled for Asistencia Asesoría y Administración (AAA), Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL), Federación Internacional de Lucha Libre and Lucha Libre Femenil.

2. Martha Villalobos
Old school heel Martha Villalobos came in at number two.
Her father Panchito Villalobos trained her, and she made her wrestling debut in 1979.

3. Kaoru
Oddly enough Japanese wrestler KAORU (Kaoru Maeda) came in at number three.
Kaoru wrestled for the CMLL wrestling promotion back in the 1990s.

4. Marcela
María Elena Santamaría Gómez is always popular, and last month came in at number four.
She was also trained by Martha Villalobos' father Panchito, and made her lucha libre debut in 1985.

5. Faby Apache
Faby Apache was trained by her father Gran Apache and two Joshi legends, Aja Kong and Mariko Yoshida.
She made her pro wrestling debut on January 20, 1998.

6. Alicia Webb
Alicia Webb worked as X-Pac's valet in Asistencia Asesoría y Administración (AAA) back in 2008.
But thats about all I can find that she did in Mexico.

7. Atenea
The daughter of luchador Iván El Bronco and luchadora La Malinche came in at number seven.
Her sister Coral is also a masked luchadora.

8. Amazona
There are two Amazonas.
One debuted in 1994 and the other is the daughter of luchador Lobo del Norte, so I'm not sure which one this is.

9. La Chacala
The tough as nails Carolina Escobedo Villanueva came in at number nine.
I'm not sure if she wrestles exclusively for Lucha Libre Femenil or not.

10. Mima Shimoda
Japanese female wrestler Mima Shimoda continues to be very popular.
She seems to have that perfect balance of skill, sexiness and a mean streak a mile wide.

Honorable mention....

Lady Apache
Princesa Sujei (Princesa Sugey, Princesa Sugeith)
Lola Gonzalez
Luna Magica
Nikki Roxx

Luchadora - La Rebelde

Mexican Luchadora La Rebelde was born Dolores Hernandez on July 21, 1961.
She was trained by luchadors Pancho Villalobos, Pancho Zapata, Rey Mendoza and El Hijo Del Gladiador and made her pro wrestling debut in 1986.
La Rebelde started out masked, but lost her mask to Irma González in 1992 at the Arena Cuchillo.
Her finishing move was the La Cruceta, a kneeling figure four leglock.
She once held the Mexico State Women's Tag Team Championship with La Mohicana.

Luchadora Roster For Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL)

Over on my Lucha Women blog, I did an update on the luchadora roster for Asistencia Asesoría y Administración (AAA), so I thought today I'd do an update on the female wrestlers of Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL).
CMLL is a little harder than AAA to get a roster for because unlike AAA, CMLL seems to all but ignore their luchadoras on their website.
So this is as close as I can get to an actual roster...

Amapola - CMLL World Women's Champion since November 16, 2007
Goddess (Aurora)
Hiroka
India Sioux
La Nazi
Lady Apache
Luna Magica
Marcela
La Medusa/Medussa
Mima Shimoda
Princesa Blanca
Princesa Sujei
Rosa Negra
Sahori
Estrella Magica
Lluvia
La Seductora

Luchadora News

Not a lot of Luchadora news today....

There's an article at the Los Angeles Times about Lucha VaVoom, thats been around for an amazing seven years and usually features some Luchadoras on their "cards" like the Poubelle Twins, Crybaby and (The NY Knockout) Nikki.

You can keep up with these American Luchadoras at their MySpace pages....
CryBaby
http://www.myspace.com/crybaby46

Nikki
http://www.myspace.com/nyknockout

And the Poubelle Twins (they sing as well as wrestle!)
http://www.myspace.com/laspoubelles

I added another Hub over at Hub Pages about Canadian and American female wrestlers that have wrestled in Lucha Libre.
(Does that count as news?)

Sarita on TNA Tomorrow Night?

TNA has posted the promo for Sarita's (who we know as Sarah Stock or Dark Angel) debut on TNA wrestling.
We've waited a long time for this (and Ayako Hamada by the way) so I'm really anxious to see her television debut, and just what they will do with this talented wrestler.
Of course "in 3 weeks" then means tomorrow night on TNA.
Sorry...I was gone for awhile.
I noticed at TNA's website there is still no profile up yet.

Anyway, here's the video if you haven't seen it yet....

Masked Luchadoras, Part 20

Xtasis and Princess Yara

Masked luchadora Xtasis is better known in the US and Canada as one half of the Canadian Ninjas, Portia Perez.
She appeared in Lucha Libre Feminil and Asistencia Asesoría y Administración (AAA), masked, in 2006.
She's the third Canadian that wrestled in Mexico masked (as far as I know), besides Goddess (Aurora) and Dark Angel (Sarah Stock).

Masked luchadora Yesca was trained by El Satanico, Jose Luis Feliciano.
In Lucha Libre she has tag teamed with Princesa Blanca, Princesa Sugei, Marcela and La Seductora.

And our last masked luchadora is Zeuxis.
She was trained by Negro Navarro, Alimaña and Huracán Ramírez.
Zeuxis made her pro wrestling debut on April 26, 2008.
She has tag teamed with Afrodita, Fugivita and Amapola.

Masked Luchadoras, Part 19

Almost as popular as Princess Sugey is Tsunami.
This luchadora is so tough, she has been nicknamed "La Chica Kane".
She often teams with La Chacala.

Vampiresa (Patricia Lomeli) lost her mask to Shira, at Arena Femenil-Monterrey.

La Vendeta.
Dont really know much about this luchadora except for a mention and one pic at Luchawiki.
