Well after months of the masked luchadora Lady Shani dominating this blog, another masked luchadora, La Hiedra, has taken over.
It seems this young lady is very popular.

Dark Angel, La Vaquerita and Princesa Sugehit

Here is a picture of Dark Angel, La Vaquerita and Princesa Sugehit from several years ago.
Interestingly, Sarah started out wrestling mask and lost her mask to Princesa Sugehit.
La Vaquerita lost her mask to Zeuxis in 2016.
And Zeuxis also took Princesa Sugehit's mask in 2017.
So now all three of these ladies are unmasked.

Princess Sugey wrestling April Hunter in Mexico

Here's a couple of pictures of Princess Sugey wrestling April Hunter in Mexico back in 2008.
First up, Sugey is punishing April with a camel clutch. Notice how Sugey is adding her own variation here, helping April smile wider.
Next, the brawl goes outside the wrestling ring, with Sugey putting a boot to the throat.

This is evidently from a match where April Hunter, Linda Star and Miss Janeth took on Princesa Sugey, la Bruja and Novia de Jason.

Luchadora Christina Von Eerie

Christina Von Eerie has wrestled for wrestling promotions all over the west coast with companies like PWR ChickFight (Pro Wrestling Revolution, PWG (Pro Wrestling Guerrilla), XPW (Xtreme Pro Wrestling) and PCW (Pro Championship Wrestling) and she has also worked for Asistencia Asesoría y Administración (AAA) in Mexico.

She made her debut for them on March 12th, 2010 at the Rey de Reyes show in Queretaro in a three way battle in which she teamed up with Sexi Star and Rain to take on Faby Apache, Mary Apache and Cinthia Moreno.
Christina's team didnt win (Moreno pinned Sexi Star), but I think this young lady has a bright future ahead of her.
She's got the look, the body of a fitness model and the skills to take her a long way in this business.

Christina was trained by The Big Ugly, Danny Secretion, Bao Nguyen and Sir Samurai, and made her pro wrestling debut back in 2006.
She got a lot of internet buzz when she was announced as the opponent for former WWE Diva Lena Yada's Indy wrestling debut at the Pro Wrestling Revolution's show on June 6, 2009 in San Francisco.

Silueta - Mexican Female Wrestlers

Silueta (Joana Guadalupe Jiménez Hernández) was born on December 15, 1985 in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico.
She works for Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL) and Japanese Reina Joshi Puroresu.
Silueta started out masked, but lost her mask to Zeuxis in a match.

Princesa Sugehit - WWE Mae Young Classic

On June 16, 2017, WWE announced Princesa Sugehit as part of the WWE Mae Young Classic.
The Mae Young Classic is an upcoming tournament that will feature 32 female wrestlers, many of which are not contracted to WWE.
It will be held on the July, 14 and 15 2017.
Beside Sugehit, Tessa Blanchard, Alpha Female, Toni Storm, Kavita Devi, Abbey Laith, Taynara Conti, Lacey Evans and Sarah Logan will be participating.

Princesa Sugehit was born on June 25, 1980 in Monterrey, Nuevo León, Mexico.
She has been wrestling since 1995.

Sexy Star vs Jennifer Blake - Luchadoras

Here are two of the most popular ladies on this blog, Sexy Star and Jennifer Blake going at it in a 2012 AAA Reina de Reinas match in Mexico.
Sexy Star has held the title twice with a combined reign of 753 days, but Jennifer hasn't held it once.

Sexy Star (Dulce Maria García Rivas) debuted in 2006 but in 2016, she retired and unmasked to become a boxer.
So far she has a 1-0-0 record.

Jennifer Blake (Jennifer Ykema) debuted as a wrestler in 2007 and has worked for Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide in Mexico and Shimmer Women Athletes here in the US.

Luchadoras - India Sioux Tribute

Luchadora India Sioux is retired from Lucha Libre, but I thought I would do a short tribute to this lovely young lady.
She got married had a child and retired from active competition.

India Sioux was born on September 20, 1984, in Nezahualcoyotl, Mexico.
She comes from a big wrestling family.
REALLY big!
Her father is Hombre Bala, her mother is the original India Sioux, her brothers are Hombre Bala Jr. and Corsario, her uncles are La Marquesa, Pirata Morgan and Verdugo. Her cousins are Perla Negra, Pirata Morgan Jr. and Rey Bucanero.
She was trained by Puma her uncle La Marquesa, José Luis Feliciano and her father Hombre Bala.
India made her Lucha Libre debut in April of 2004 at the Chimaluacan, Estado De Mexico.

La Hiedra - Female Mexican Wrestlers

Mexican luchadora La Hiedra made her in ring debut back on November 14th, 2010.
She was born on May 18, 1997 in Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas, Mexico and was trained by Kendor Jr., Laredo Kid, Sangre Chicana and Villano IV.
Like a lot of other luchadors and luchdoras, she comes from a big wrestling family.
Her father is Sangre Chicana, her brothers are Sangre Chicana Jr., Perseus, Sangre Imperial, her sisters are Lluvia, Lady Chicana, her uncle is Herodes and Herodes Jr., Maquina Asesina, and Aguila Solitaria Jr. are her cousins.

Mexican Luchadora Ludark Shaitan

This is female luchador Ludark Shaitan (or LuDarK ShAiTAN as I think she likes to spell it).
Like most masked wrestlers, we don't know what her real name is, but we do know that she was born on June 19th, 1992 and that her cousin is fellow luchadora Lady Shani.
Ludark was trained by some pretty famous luchadors including Dr. Karonte, Platino, El As and Silver King and she made her lucha libre debut in March of 2010.
She has worked for Mexican wrestling promotions Desastre Total Ultraviolento (DTU) and Lucha Libre Femenil (LLF).
So far the only titles she has held is the Campeonato Mixto XMW (I think with Sick Boy).
Ludark is five foot five and weighs 145 pounds.

Taya Valkyrie - Lucha Underground

As you may know, Canadian former model, fitness competitor and luchadora Taya Valkyrie (Kira Renee Forster) will appear this year on Lucha Underground as valet of Johnny Mundo.
Valet?
Really?
The Asistencia Asesoría y Administración AAA Reina de Reinas Champion and Luchadora of the Year in 2014 and 2015 is gonna be a valet?
Well...I have total faith in Lucha Underground and I am very sure that she will be wrestling in the ring before very long.

Interestingly, Taya is replacing former WWE Diva Melina Perez who was supposed to be Johnny Mundo's valet.
One rumor says that Melina was let go because she was too difficult.
Another says it was because the WWE had already done that.

But how awesome would a Taya/Melina feud have been?

Ivelisse Velez vs Taya Valkyrie - YouTube Female Wrestling

Here are two of the hottest women in wrestling today, Ivelisse "Huntress" Velez and Taya Valkyrie going at it in a match in Mexico.
Who knows...maybe we will get to see a replay of this on Lucha Underground this season. Interestingly, though they are both luchadoras, Ivelisse was born in Ponce, Puerto Rico and Taya was born in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada.
Proving that Lucha Libre really is international.
