Marcela vs Tiffany - CMLL

Luchadora Tiffany decides to take a bite out of CMLL World Women's Champion Marcela's forehead here in this match from CMLL.
By the way...is Tiffany a SHIELD agent now?
That kinda looks like their symbol on her catsuit...

She has worked for CMLL, Lucha Libre Femenil and along with Lluvia, held the Reina World Tag Team Championship in Japan.

Luchadora Estrellita Has Gotten Ripped!

Mexican Luchadora Estrellita has always been a fan favorite in Lucha Libre.
But a lot of that had to do with her curvy figure.
The voluptuous star always made the most of what God gave her in her outfits.

But now...it looks like the luchadora has been hitting the gym seriously and getting a little ripped.
The Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre(CMLL) wrestler has been sporting some muscle as of late, as you can see from the picture below.

Good for her!

At an age where American wrestling promotions like the WWE would be considering her career almost over...it looks like she is getting her second wind!

Sexy Star - Triple AAA to CMLL?

Sexy Star (Dulce Maria García Rivas) is one of the most popular Mexican female wrestlers, not only in Mexico, but probably the world.
And despite what the WWE thinks, she is hot!
In Asistencia Asesoría y Administración she has held the AAA Reina de Reinas Championship twice and in Federacion Internacional de Lucha Libre she has held the FILL Mixed Tag Team Championship (with Humberto Garza, Jr.) and the FILL Women's Championship.

Oddly enough, on February 19th, 2013, Sexy Star relinquished the AAA Reina de Reinas Championship.
Although it has been said that there was no reason given, rumors have said that it's because she was unhappy with the way things are going in AAA.
So does that mean we may see her jump ship to CMLL?

UPDATE:
Nope.
We found out later it was because she was pregnant.

Triple AAA Lucha Libre Luchadora Roster

Over at my Lucha Women blog I did the current roster of the luchadoras working for CMLL, so I thought here I would do one for the female luchadors working for Triple AAA Lucha Libre or Asistencia Asesoría y Administración.

triple aaa lucha libre, mexican female wrestlers, female mexican wrestlers
Faby Apache - AAA Reina de Reinas Champion

Cynthia Moreno
Esther Moreno
Faby Apache - AAA Reina de Reinas Champion (She defeated LuFisto, Mari Apache and Taya Valkyrie in a four-way elimination tournament final match to win title vacated by Sexy Star)
La Jarochita
Jennifer Blake
La Hechicera
Lolita
LuFisto
La Magnífica
Mari Apache - AAA World Mixed Tag Team Champion (along with Halloween)
Sexy Lady
Sexy Star
Taya Valkyrie

You may notice the AAA roster is smaller than CMLL (13 for AAA vs 20 for CMLL) and there are more foreigners on the AAA roster as well.
Part of the reason for the latter is AAA's La Legión Extranjera stable that usually composed of foreign heels.

Luchadoras at Astros Del Ring

Here is a really cool website I ran across on the net called Astros Del Ring.
And it's on Blogger!
What caught my eye was some amazing photos like this one of CMLL Campeona Nacional Femenil Champion Princesa Blanca wrestling Dark Angel (Sarah Stock/TNA Knockout Sarita).

Go check out the site, it's really worth it!

Zeuxis - Luchadoras Mexicanas

This is masked luchadora Zeuxis (Seuxis).
I really don't know a lot about her except she was born on November 3rd, 1988 in San Juan, Puerto Rico, she was trained by luchadores Negro Navarro, Alimaña, Huracán Ramírez and Satanico, and she made her lucha libre debut on April 29th, 2008.
She's five foot four and weighs in at 141 pounds.

Also, she has one of the coolest finishing moves this side of The Widow's Peak.
It's called "Caballete" (The Stand) and it looks absolutely awesome.

And unlike a lot of other luchadoras, this lady seems to love social networking!

The Top Ten Luchadoras for August

Debbie Malenko and Sakie Hasegawa

I haven't done a top ten Luchadora list on here in ages, maybe ever, so I'm going to do one now.
These are the top ten most searched for Lucahdoras on this blog for August.

1. Debbie Malenko
Strange for a lady from Orlando, Florida to top a Lucha Libre list isn't it?
But Debbie is probably one of the most under-rated female wrestlers of all time.
Debbie wrestled a lot in Japan and Mexico.
In Mexico she and her tag team partner Sakie Hasegawa wrestled for CMLL.

2. Estrellita
Luchadora Estrellita remains very popular.
"Little Star" was born Viviana Ochoa Barradas on October 18, 1977, in Zamora, Michoacán, Mexico.
She made her lucha libre debut on February 26, 1993 at the Auditorio Municipal de Amecameca in Mexico.

3. Faby Apache
Faby Apache another young lady with a loyal following.
Faby made her wrestling debut on January 20, 1998 at the Deportivo Azcapotzalco in Mexico City.

4. Mari Apache
Fabi's sister Mari Apache, came in right behind Fabi.
Mari made her pro wrestling debut on October 15, 1995.

5. Hiroka
This CMLL wrestler has wrestled under the names Hiroka Yaginuma and Raven Hiroka, but just goes by Hiroka today.
She made her Lucha Libre debut on September 18, 2002.
Hiroka is married to Pequeño Damián 666 who also works for CMLL.

6. Amapola
The CMLL World Women's Champion made her pro wrestling debut in December, 1997 at the Arena Neza in Netzahualcoyotl, Mexico.
I wonder if TNA has considered bringing her up to feud with Sarita?

7. Lady Sensacion
I dont know a lot about this young lady other than she was trained by luchadors Villano I and Chico Malo I and made her Lucha Libre debut in 1999.

8. Princesa Sugey
If they have a Lucha Libre Hall of Fame, this lady should be headed for it.
She has wrestled for both AAA and CMLL and made her pro wrestling debut on September 22, 1996 at the Arena La Junta in Villa Juarez, Nuevo León, Mexico.

9. Xochitl Hamada
The sister of now TNA Knockout Hamada made her pro wrestling debut way back on September 5, 1986, not in Mexico, but at the Korakuen Hall in Tokyo, Japan.

10. Zeuxis
And rounding out the top ten, we have Zeuxis.
Again I know little about her other than she was trained by Negro Navarro, Alimaña and Huracán Ramírez, and made her Lucha Libre debut on April 26, 2008.
That and she has tag teamed with Amapola and Hiroka which I guess makes her CMLL or EMLL

Luchadora Marcela

You know Mexican Luchadora Marcela may be one of the best female wrestlers in Lucha Libre.
She doesnt get the press that luchadoras like Sarah Stock (Dark Angel , Sarita) get, but Marcela is very technically sound.
I mean c'mon, she's been wrestling since December 1985.
You don't see that many WWE Divas or even TNA Knockouts with that much in ring experience.
And Marcela has held the Distrito Federal Women's Wrestling Title, the CMLL Women's Wrestling Title and the Mexican National Women's Wrestling Championship.
So even though I have done entries on Marcela before, here's a look at this under-rated (at least up here) luchadora.

Luchadora Roster For Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL)

Over on my Lucha Women blog, I did an update on the luchadora roster for Asistencia Asesoría y Administración (AAA), so I thought today I'd do an update on the female wrestlers of Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL).
CMLL is a little harder than AAA to get a roster for because unlike AAA, CMLL seems to all but ignore their luchadoras on their website.
So this is as close as I can get to an actual roster...

Amapola - CMLL World Women's Champion since November 16, 2007
Goddess (Aurora)
Hiroka
India Sioux
La Nazi
Lady Apache
Luna Magica
Marcela
La Medusa/Medussa
Mima Shimoda
Princesa Blanca
Princesa Sujei
Rosa Negra
Sahori
Estrella Magica
Lluvia
La Seductora

When Will Sarah Stock (Sarita) Show Up In TNA?

Sarah Stock, or Dark Angel, or Sarita, got her official TNA debut pushed back a bit.
It seems TNA was all ready to have Sarah come in and take the top face postion left open by the departure of Gail Kim.
But now Victoria (Tara) has come in and took that postition.
Okay, if you read any of my wrestling blogs you know I'm a huge Victoria fan.
But was that fair to Sarah?
Nope.
Sure Victoria has the heat, she's a former WWE Diva and former WWE Womens Wrestling Champion.
But to just shove Sarah to the side is plain rude.

Of course TNA is not giving up on Sarah.
She was backstage at the iMPACT tapings last week and they did film some spots for her debut.
But now what are TNA's plans for her?
Still a face?
Or will she come in as a heel?

How about Sarah coming in as a heel, managed by Hector Guerrero?

Rosa Negra - Lucha LibreRosa Negra (Black Rose) was born on January 23rd, 1972 in Mexico City, Mexico.

On April 12th, 2009, she lost her mask to Marcela in a match at Arena Mexico.

Samantha - Lucha Libre
Samantha (Maria Elena Salazar Durante) was trained by luchador Pequeño Diamante
She lost her mask to Martha Villalobos on March 7th, 1999 at Palenque de Nuevo in Laredo.

Foreign Female Wrestlers in Mexico, part 1

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

As we have seen before, not all Luchadoras are Mexican.
Legendary Japanese female wrestler Aja Kong wrestled for both CMLL and AAA.
Alicia Webb has managed Syxx-Pac in Asistencia Asesoría y Administración.
American Angel (Sara Del Ray) appeared in Lucha Libre Femenil masked.
Angel Williams (TNA's Angelina Love) has wrestled for Asistencia Asesoría y Administración under the name Canadian Angel.
The beautiful April Hunter has toured in Mexico extensively, wrestling for AAA, CMLL and Lucha Libre Femenil.
Ariel (Ana Rocha, not Shelly Martinez) once held the LLF Juvenil title.
The lovely joshi puroresu star Azumi Hyuga has toured in Mexico as has Bison Kimura, Chaparrita ASARI, Chigusa Nagayo and Chikako Shiratori ( She held the CMLL Japan Women's Wrestling Championship).
The Mississpi Queen, Christie Ricci wrestled in Mexico and held the LLF Women's Wrestling Title.
Indy wrestler Daizee Haze has toured quite a bit in Mexico, even teaming with Diana la Cazadora.
The very under rated Debbie Malenko wrestled in Mexico.
Former WWE Diva and Former TNA Knockout Gail Kim also did some wrestling in Mexico back in her Indy days.
Another Canadian female wrestler Aurora has wrestled for Consejo De Lucha Libre Independiente,Federation Femenil De Lucha Libre,Lucha Libre Feminil and Arena Coliseo, most recently under the name Goddess.

Mexican Luchadora Miss Janeth

Miss Janeth, wrestling, wrestlers

Here's an old picture of Mexican Luchadora Miss Janeth.
La Bruja has held the UWA World Women's Wrestling Championship twice and won the Triple A Reina de Reinas in 2006.
The last time she appeared in the ring was 2007, and she may have retired. Considering she started wrestling in 1990, she deserves the rest.
Is it just me or does she kinda resemble Mercedes Ruehl?

Here's a video of Gail Kim and Josseline wrestling Mayumi Ozaki and Miss Janeth in Korea.

I thought about changing the name of this blog to " Sarah Stock, Dark Angel", but instead I decided to just post all my pics of her.
Starting with these.

Luchadora - Lita

Luchadora - Lita
Well she was a luchadora.
I mean she DID learn to wrestle in Mexico.....

Amy Christine Dumas (born April 14, 1975) is an American former professional wrestler better known by the ring name Lita, and lead singer of punk rock band The Luchagors.

Amy Dumas attended many different schools throughout her childhood and adolescent years, and managed to finish high school six months prior to graduation. She also studied Spanish for three years. She attended college at Georgia State University, where she majored in education.

Amy had always been an excellent swimmer and, as an early adult, she practiced judo competitively. Dumas played bass guitar in a band called 3 Card Trick and was a roadie for another band, Fifteen (sometimes mistakenly believed to be the band 7 Seconds because they were Amy's favorite band), for five years before becoming a wrestler. Dumas first became interested in wrestling after watching Mexican luchador Rey Mysterio, Jr. wrestle on an episode of World Championship Wrestling's WCW Monday Nitro alongside her then-boyfriend, who was an avid wrestling fan.

She traveled to Mexico to learn how to wrestle and learn more about the sport and also encounter a huge assortment of wrestlers such as Yoshihiro Tajiri, Val Venis, Essa Rios, Super Crazy, and Chris Jericho. As stated in her autobiography, Dumas financed her training by dancing in a club under the pseudonym Misty. During her stay in Mexico, Dumas trained under numerous wrestlers, including Kevin Quinn, Miguel Perez,Los Boricuas and Ricky Santana. Following the completion of her training, Dumas made several appearances with the Empresa Mexicana de la Lucha Libre, ( now CMLL) and spent ten days working for a promotion in Peru.
